Pakistani students are invited to apply for the 2023 Fulbright Scholarship Program through the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The US Department of State funds the Fulbright Masters and Ph.D. programmes, which include tuition, needed texts, travel, a living stipend, and health insurance.
Applications are allowed for all disciplines except clinical medicine, according to an official statement, and persons working in the domains of energy, water, agriculture, health, education, social sciences, and the environment are highly urged to apply.
All applicants, however, must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General).
“Under the new scoring system, minimum verbal and quantitative scores of 138 and 136 are necessary,” the announcement added. Applicants must also have a good level of spoken and written English fluency. All shortlisted candidates will be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).”
Women, persons from rural and underrepresented areas, such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), as well as people with impairments, are urged to apply.
The deadline to submit applications is May 11th, 2022.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK residents who are committed to returning to Pakistan and serving the country. They must have a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree combined (16 years of f ormal education). Applicants pursuing a Ph.D. should hold a Master’s, M.Phil., or equivalent degree (18 years of formal education) from an authorised university.
How to Apply
A complete application package includes:
- An application form
- Three reference letters
- GRE score report
- Scanned transcripts, including an explanation of the grading scale of the university issuing the degree.
With the application, HEC-attested documents are preferred, however degree and transcripts attested by the granting authorities are also acceptable.
Incomplete submissions will not be evaluated, according to the USEFP. Furthermore, only submissions submitted via the internet will be considered.
