
The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and High Schools has announced that it is taking only elective exams for SSC and HSSC. The board authorities issued the notification in this respect. At an earlier meeting of interprovincial ministers, education ministers from all provinces decided to reopen educational institutions and start annual exercises in 2021. The meeting had decided that matric and intermediate students would be included in the elective subjects.
SSC and HSSC Exams
That decision concerning the conduct of the tests was announced by the federal minister for education and vocational training. According to Shafqat Mahmood’s announcement, however matric candidates must appear for the examinations of elective subjects and mathematics, intermediate students will be included in the examinations of elective subjects by study group. It is relevant to mention here that students are not required to take examinations on obligatory subjects such as English, Urdu, Islamiat and Pakistan. Students will be awarded the marks of these subjects based on the performance of their exams.
Improvement Exams
However, candidates wishing to improve their marks or who have failed in any other subject should be asked to examine electives alongside mandatory subjects. The Board has made it clear that new candidates appear in elective subject examinations. Examinations will start on the basis of the new date sheet issued by the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education for the candidates from these categories.
