According to sources, the previous registrar of the university, Dr. Shah Masood Khan, who has close relations to the accused, became engaged in the matter and pressured the girl’s family to drop the lawsuit.

The committee only called Dr. Amjad, who flatly refuted the allegations, and did not call the girl to hear her side of the tale. While the perpetrator was found not guilty, the victim was branded as mentally ill.
