HEC Asks Students Desirous to Return to China to Register Online

After a break of many months, students who wish to restart their studies in China are required to register online, according to the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Details indicate that the HEC requested new information from the students at the request of Chinese officials. Before July 21, 2022, students are recommended to submit their information via an online form.

The first group of Pakistani students who had returned home because of the coronavirus pandemic traveled to China last month to start their studies there.

Around 100 students were on a unique Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight that departed for Xi’an, the capital of central China’s Shaanxi Province, from the New Islamabad International Airport.

At the height of the coronavirus outbreak in China, the COVID-19 outbreak’s epicenter, thousands of Pakistani students studying in Chinese universities were ordered home by the Chinese government.

Despite reducing the country’s Coronavirus restrictions, the Chinese government has prevented these Pakistani students from returning and continuing their education for more than two years.
