The Chairman of Pakistan, Dr. Alvi said on Monday that a new policy for students with disabilities pursuing post-graduate studies is being established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The new HEC strategy intends to provide the disabled and special needs students completing higher education programs with free education and improved banking facilities.

He added that evolving technological developments draw young people and that the government concentrates on “two million people with different kinds of disabilities” in technological, technical, and skill-based education.
The NADRA database currently has 330,000 people registered with disabilities and the monthly stipends of Rs. 2,000 per disabled person has already been declared by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In addition, unregistered citizens under the Ehsaas flagship are gathered by the concerned government divisions for easy payments of loans.

President Arif Alvi said that Pakistan’s Sustainable Development Agenda 2030 is aligned with world innovation trends and will allow the disabled community full access to health and recovery services to encourage social inclusion and involvement. At a conference in Peshawar held with the World Health Organization (WHO), the president said.
