How Local Board Students Will Get Benefit From The Upcoming Exams When Compared With CIE Students

The education sector has suffered greatly as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Academic and examination activities were unable to proceed according to the normal schedule. Because educational institutes are closed for an extended period of time, students are unable to complete their course work in order to sit for examinations. Earlier this year, the federal minister of education and professional training announced that the annual examinations for matric, intermediate, and Cambridge will be held according to the published exam schedule and that students who do not appear in the annual exams will not be promoted this year. However, when compared to CIE students, there are some advantages that local board students can gain from the upcoming examinations.

Reduced Syllabus

The education ministry has launched a simplified syllabus for matric and intermediate pupils. The board officials have assured students that each subject’s question paper will be designed with the smart syllabus in mind. To assist students during the pandemic, concerned officials have taken this step so that students can complete the syllabus prior to the start of the examinations, but the syllabus for CIE students has not been reduced.

Delay In Exams

The annual matric examinations are usually held in March, but this year they were postponed, and the Punjab boards committee of chairpersons has released the matric date sheet 2021 and intermediate date sheet 2021 for students to prepare for the exams according to the schedule given to them. The annual examinations for the 9th and 10th grades will begin on the 12th of June 2021 and the 27th of May 2021, respectively, according to the timetable. However, the annual examinations for the 11th and 12th grades will be held on July 16, 2021, and June 30, 2021, respectively. The CIE exams, on the other hand, will begin on time and on schedule.

Issuance of Model Papers

Because the examinations will be based on the smart syllabus, the board will distribute model papers for students’ guidance. The primary goal is to give students an idea of the paper pattern that will be used in the actual examinations.

On Twitter earlier this week, the hashtag #cancelcieeaxms2021 was trending, and students requested that the examinations be canceled. It is important to note that in Pakistan, the O level and A level examinations will be held in April and June, respectively.
