Under the terms of the agreement, Peshawar Police will hire Peshawar University students as interns in several police stations throughout the provincial capital. In the initial batch, 30 students from the Department of Social Work will be accepted.
The students will be trained by the Peshawar Police Department to familiarise them with the policing system and to get professional experience that would benefit them in the future. To bridge the gap between the public and the police, the students will also promote a warm picture of the cops.
