
The Punjab government has announced that every middle- and elementary school, madrassah and university in the province will reopen starting on Monday, 1 February. The Department of Schools Education released a notification on Friday to this effect.
This move is in line with the government ’s decision to hold school and university classes in person for next month’s schools and university students.

Taking Twitter, Dr. Murad Raas, Provincial Education Minister, stressed that following reopening educational institutions the protocols COVID-19 had been strictly adhering to and he also shared the official note.

This decision was also approved on Thursday by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) which oversees the anti-COVID 19 drive of the government.
All information on the opening of educational institutions and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be followed are included in the notice.

According to the notice, both students can take alternate days at the school.
It also claimed that in May and June the SSC and HSSC students are subject to Board reviews and reiterated that the schools should ensure strict application of SOPs provided by the Punjab Department of Primary & Secondary Healthcare and School Education.
Furthermore, as the others, the winter school hours are observed.
