Private Students Finally Get Most Demanded Subject Group for Inter Exams

Punjab’s Higher Education Department (HED) has decided to make another alteration to the intermediate test guidelines in order to make life easier for students in the province.

Private students will now be eligible to sit the FSc yearly examinations, according to reports, with the latest modification due to take effect in the academic year 2023.

Before taking the annual exams, students will be asked to produce certificates confirming their appearance in practical exams.

These certifications will be available from any college connected with one of the eight secondary and intermediate education boards.

Private intermediate candidates were previously limited to only two groups: Commerce and Humanities. Private inter applicants will now be required to appear in the Science group as well.

Punjab’s Education Ministry stated last week that additional examinations for intermediate and matriculation would be abolished. Annual exams will now be held twice a year instead of extra tests.

The first annual exams will take place as planned, while the second annual exams will take place once the matric and inter results have been announced.
