The Punjab government has begun accepting e-transfers of government school teachers for promotions and compassionate transfers.
Dr. Murad Raas, Punjab’s Minister of School Education, broke the news on Twitter on Tuesday. He also posted the Punjab School Education Department’s official notification.
The announcement stated, “It is to inform you that the Competent Authority has approved the opening of e-transfer of teachers for adjustment on promotion and transfer on compassionate grounds, i.e., (divorce, widow, wedlock, disable, mutual and disposal teachers, etc.”
The notification states that transfer applications for the above-mentioned categories will be accepted between March 14 and March 25. The verification process will take place from March 28 through April 8, with transfer orders being issued on April 12.
The e-transfer strategy was issued by the provincial education department in November 2021. Punjabi public schools utilise the School Information System (SIS) app to self-report data in real-time. All schools must first register with the School Education Department in order to use this Android app.
Dr. Murad Raas, speaking about the process, had previously stated that the new e-transfer regulation would bring instant assistance to female teachers.
