The final examinations for classes 1 to 8 in all Punjab schools will begin on March 5th, under the newly enacted Single National Curriculum (SNC).
According to details, the examination process will be completed in the third week of March, and the final results will be announced on March 31, 2021, with the next academic year beginning on April 1, 2021.
Students in grades 3 through 8 will take exams that include both objective and subject components, while students in grades 1 and 2 will be evaluated through oral exams.
All students in grades 3 to 8 will take written exams in Urdu, English, Mathematics, General Science, and Social Sciences, while Muslim students will be tested in Islamiat and non-Muslims will take an Ethics exam.
It should be noted that the PTI-led federal government developed and implemented the SNC for the KP to 8 class in August 2021. Except for Sindh, which openly opposes the SNC, all provinces are observing the ongoing academic under the SNC.
Sindh has maintained that the federal government introduced the SNC in haste and without consulting the Sindh government. It also failed to consult the 1973 Constitution, which states that education is purely a provincial matter.
