One to Eight Class Exams Schedule in Punjab

The Punjab government has stated unequivocally that no student will be promoted this year without first taking the exams.

Following the federal government’s decision to prolong spring break vacations in schools located in seven cities due to the third wave of COVID-19, the provincial government’s spokesperson, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, provided clarification.

Cheema told the media after the announcement that the exams would be postponed for a while but would not be cancelled this year.

In districts where the incidence of coronavirus cases is minimal, schools will remain open.

According to the spokesperson, the positivity rate in Punjab has risen to 9.5 percent, which is a concerning indicator.

Cheema said the provincial government is fervently implementing the National Command and Operations Centre’s (NCOC) instructions for controlling the disease.

Indoor activities have also been limited, with wedding halls, restaurants, and offices closed.

She went on to say that the third wave of coronavirus is more deadly than the previous two.
