Due to the increased daytime during the summers, the Punjab government is considering changing the timings of schools and colleges in the state starting next month.
According to sources inside the School Education Department (SED), the department has recommended that all District Education Authorities (DEAs) adjust their operating hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Next week, the respective DEAs are likely to meet to discuss the SED’s proposal. If all DEAs agree to the idea, the new school and college schedules will begin on March 1st.
