Because of the rising number of coronavirus infections in both Rawalpindi and Lahore, the Punjab government has announced a new schedule for public and private schools in both districts.
Dr. Murad Raas, the provincial minister of education, has declared that classes 1 to 6 will be staggered until February 15, meaning that half of the kids in these classes will attend school on different days.
Meanwhile, children in Classes 7 to 12 will have regular classes with 100% attendance because pupils aged 12 and up must get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

From February 1, the NCOC will begin an obligatory COVID-19 vaccination programme for pupils aged 12 and up. Sentinel testing is already underway at educational institutions in preparation for targeted closures in areas where the virus is prevalent.
