The Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) has yet to provide a new syllabus for students in government schools across the province under the Single National Curriculum (SNC).
According to 24News, the lack of availability of the new syllabus has caused worry among teachers. They are concerned that students would not receive the new academic year’s syllabus before the summer holiday, wast ing the two months of their vacation.
More than three million books will be required for over 500,000 students in Lahore alone, according to the details. The textbook board faces a difficult task in publishing books on such a wide scale in two months.

Private schools, on the other hand, have already begun the new academic year.
The printing of textbooks is under underway, according to the Punjab School Education Department. During the summer vacation, books will be delivered, and the new academic year will begin on August 1st.
It should be emphasized that the SNC is being implemented in stages across the country. In August 2021, a uniform syllabus for grades I through V was implemented in the first phase. It will be implemented in August of this year for classes VI to VIII, and in 2023 for classes IX to XII.
