
Due to the 48th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, the management of Quaid-i-Azam University has scheduled a four-day break from March 21 to 24. (CFM).
In an official announcement issued today, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, approved the notification.
“The university will stay closed from March 21 to March 24, 2022 (Monday to Thursday) due to the 48th session of the OIC CFM and Pakistan Day,” it stated.

In a notification published on March 10, the Cabinet Secretariat announced three holidays in Islamabad for the OIC meeting on March 22, 23, and 24.
“On Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, and Thursday, March 24th, 2022, all Federal Ministries/Divisions, their Attached Departments, and other Organizations/Offices of the Federal Government located in Islamabad must likewise stay closed,” it stated.
For the first time in 15 years, Pakistan will host a CFM session of the OIC in Islamabad, with the theme “Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development.”
On the request of his Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, will also attend as a special guest.
