Samsung’s Unique Smart Projector and First OLED TV are Now Up for Sale

By 2022, Samsung introduced a number of new displays and monitors, some of which are now available for purchase. These include one-of-a-kind new TVs as well as a smart projector that is unlike anything else on the market.

Let’s have a look at it.

Freestyle Smart Projector

Samsung’s new Freestyle Smart Projector resembles a searchlight more than a projector, yet it accomplishes the same task. It’s dubbed ‘Freestyle’ due to its swiveling base, which allows it to rotate and pivot in any direction, making positioning simple.

It comes with Samsung’s Smart TV UI for simple access to Netflix and Disney+, as well as a tiny HDMI port for connecting any source. In the future, it will come with a battery base and an adaptor that will allow you to plug it into a light socket for electricity.

The Samsung Freestyle Projector costs $900 and can be purchased through Samsung’s website.

Samsung’s First OLED TV

Samsung’s first-ever OLED TV, the S95B, is currently available for pre-order. It’s not just any OLED TV; it’s a QD-OLED TV, which combines an OLED display with a quantum dot layer to increase color and brightness. On paper, this should make it one of the best-looking screens on the market.

Samsung, as expected, has set a high price for its first OLED television. The Samsung S95B 55-inch model starts at a hefty $2200. The good news is that more manufacturers are beginning to make QD-OLED TVs, which means that the price will likely decrease with each new generation.

Matte Screens

Matte Screens

Samsung’s TV portfolio for 2022 includes new Frame TVs, which have a matte look on their panels. The matte coating lowers glare and reflections, and the TVs are designed to seem like framed art on your wall. This enhances the user experience both when watching content on the TV and when it is idle and showing art.

The result isn’t ideal, especially in darker settings, because they aren’t OLED displays, but they should still look more natural than prior generations.

The matte texture will also be available in future Serif and Sero TV versions. The 43-inch model of the company’s new Frame TVs will cost $1000.

By the end of March, the new M8 Smart Monitor had been announced. It has an Apple-like design and is available in a number of pastel hues to complete the look.

When it’s not being used with a computer, this 32-inch screen comes with a USB-C powered rechargeable remote, allowing it to double as a 4K TV. It comes with its own internet browser, so you can get some basic work done even if you don’t have access to a computer. It also includes a 1080p webcam with a magnetic mount, making it suitable for working from home.

This, like the other items on the list, is a luxury item for $730, as a 4K screen can be had for much less these days. But at the very least, it can serve as both a TV and a monitor.
