The Sindh government has announced the dates and patterns for the yearly matriculation and intermediate examinations.
On Tuesday, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department’s (SELD) Steering Committee, chaired by Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, reached the decision.
Chairpersons of education boards, as well as officials from the Education Ministry and SELD, attended the meeting.
The matriculation tests will begin on May 17th, and the intermediate exams will begin on June 15th, according to the schedule.
The minister was promised by the chairmen of the education boards that the results will be announced within two months of the tests.
The delegates also decided that annual tests for elementary courses (grades 4–8) will begin on May 2nd.
The steering group announced that the exam papers would be made up of 40% multiple-choice questions and 60% comprehensive questions.
Summer vacations will run from June 1 to July 31 and winter vacations will run from December 22 to December 31 in schools across the province, according to the committee. The new academic year begins on August 1st.
