
On Tuesday, February 22, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) held a meeting of its Steering Committee to decide on the timetable for the Matriculation and Intermediate yearly examinations across the state.
The tests were scheduled to take place on the 17th and 1st of June, according to the agenda sent to committee members and board chairpersons.
The session will be headed by Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the province Education Minister, who will also ratify the academic schedule for the new semester.

The Education Department has proposed that the next academic year begin on August 1st. A proposal was also made for summer vacations in June and July, as well as winter breaks from December 22 to December 31 at schools across the province.
The meeting’s attendees will also establish the calendar for Matriculation, First Year, and Intermediate admissions, as well as the announcement of these classes’ outcomes. They will also consider authorising the vacations that educational institutions have announced for the current year. The number of holidays for the institutions has not changed, according to the agenda.
Exams for grades 1 through 8 will be held in the first week of May, according to the proposal.
